Brio Technology is moving into a new 130,000 sq. ft building
April 2006
Brio Technology will move into
a 130,000 sq. ft facility in May. Within the new facility, which spans eight floors,
one floor is slated for prototype and preproduction runs. The expansion is made in part,
due to increased demand from Brio’s two major customers, BOE and Pioneer. BOE, which contracts
the build of its LCD driver boards to Brio, has just increased its orders to 500,000 pieces
per month.
“Brio has added eight new leading edge
Panasonic SMT lines to meet the increasing needs. By May, Brio expects to have a total of 24
SMT lines, in which one line is for low volume and prototype runs. We will consider adding one
more line for preproduction runs.” said Brio Technical Director, Xili Chen.
